2nd Annual Social Media in Government Conference 2014
17 Feb 2014 - 19 Feb 2014
Novotel, Canberra
Overview

As the use of social media platforms in Australian Government and Semi-Government bodies at federal, state and local levels solidifies, the disparity between those simply ‘doing’ and those ‘doing well’ is increasing.  Now is the time to develop a greater practical toolkit to deliver social media strategy with greatest effect.

Where previous Australian Government social media forums touched on the practical delivery of Social Media as a subset, Akolade’s Social Media in Government Conference 2014 explores extensively, addressing cost efficiency, operations and threat response capabilities through an array of targeted case studies.

Following the success of both the Social Media Communications Strategies in Government Roadshows in April 2013, and September 2013, and taking on board the recommendations and requests of those who have attended, Implementing Social Media in Government 2014 will now grow into a two-day national forum bringing together executive and operational level experts from every state and territory in Australia to forum the most robust and notarized case studies on government deploying social media.
